Wesleyan's Athletic Department offers club sports, which complement the varsity athletic program. Currently, volleyball is offered as a club sport program.
Typically, the volleyball club sport program holds practice and competitions in the fall season – September and October -- and competes against junior varsity programs and teams from 2-year collges. Practices are scheduled about four times per week, which allows students plenty of time to focus on their academic and other co-curricular commitments. Students do not miss any class for practice or competitions when participating in club sports.
The primary emphasis of our club sports program is on learning the game, properly developing and expanding on fundamental skills and play, and building an appreciation for the sport.
The Department of Athletics, part of the Division of Student Affairs at Wesleyan College, is dedicated to challenging student-athletes to reach their potential through a strong commitment to excellence, teamwork, and service to the community. This dedication instills pride and camaraderie throughout the Wesleyan community by creating a fun and healthy environment for success. In our commitment to advancing the mission of Student Affairs and the College, we strive to instill in each student a healthy commitment to her personal well-being and development.
