The Pioneer tennis team practices and competes in an idyllic setting: six competition courts tucked between the Mathews Athletic Center and the arboretum. Wesleyan’s on-campus tennis training facility is second to none within the Great South Athletic Conference. Our tennis program boasts plenty of honors and highlights, like earning the departmental highest GPA award as well as the Scholar-Athlete Award several times in the last decade.

Playing at Wesleyan gives student-athletes the opportunity to face great competition within NCAA Division III and the GSAC. Our team travels throughout the Southeast and extensively through the state of Georgia for games, adding to the overall collegiate experience for our student-athletes.

While the competition is important, the college also values the philosophy of Division III athletics: the impact of athletics on its participants, an emphasis on internal constituents, a high level of sportsmanship, encouraging participation, and the incorporation of athletics into the overall mission of the institution.
