Young Alumnae Supporting Wesleyan College
Today’s students are inspired by possibility because they are surrounded by so many who give forward. Gifts – large and small – of love, money, time, and talent make the Wesleyan experience possible for a growing number of women. If you are like many young alumnae, you may underestimate the power you have to give back to your alma mater.
Consider your own annual gift when combined with the gifts of other classmates. Gifts to the Loyalty Fund are critical to the College and many small gifts quickly add up to something very significant. They impact every aspect of campus life, from advanced technology to financial aid. Your gifts go a long way in supporting today’s students – your sisters.
An easy and painless way to give is by a monthly automatic debit of your bank account or credit card. $5 or $10 a month quickly adds up to a significant gift. By giving up your venti skinny chai latte once a month, your donation could have a major effect on the life of a current Wesleyanne. Since more than 95% of our current students receive financial assistance, many woman would be unable to experience a Wesleyan education without the generous support of loyal alumnae.
The average alumnae gift is $200 a year. As a young alum, please consider a donation of $25, $50, $75 or even $100. Your gift is an expression of appreciation for all those faithful sisters, who enabled you to become a Wesleyan graduate. With a contribution to the Annual Fund, you can become a source of support for your sisters.
So, help a sister today by joining other young alumnae in the newly established Sisters for Sisters giving program. Participating alumnae will be honored at a special Porch Party event with President Knox during Alumnae Weekend.
