Wesleyan College to add Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program
In response to statewide demand for qualified registered nurses, Wesleyan College is developing a pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing program with courses to begin Fall Semester 2013, pending full approval by the Georgia Board of Nursing and The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools/Commission on Colleges.
Wesleyan College Ranks High with Princeton Review
Wesleyan College offers students an outstanding undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review. The New York-based education services company features the college in the new 2012 edition of its annual book, The Best 376 Colleges, and gives high ratings for academics and classroom experience.
Wesleyan claims Macon’s first Gold LEED Certification project
Wesleyan College received Gold Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification for its newly renovated Taylor Hall. The award, from the Green Building Certification Institute, recognizes the building’s energy efficiency and the sustainability of the design and building materials used in its construction.
Ways & Means Director Mays delivers 2011 commencement address
Wesleyan’s graduating seniors anxiously awaited the call to action and inspiration of commencement speaker Janice A. Mays, U.S. House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee Democratic Staff Director, Chief Counsel, and Chief Tax Counsel. Wesleyan graduated 94 candidates for undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degrees on May 14, 2011.

New Study Finds Women's Colleges Better Equipped to Help Students
The Indiana University Center for Postsecondary Research suggests that students at women's colleges are better served in their educational pursuits than their peers at coeducational institutions. In addition, educational gains made by students at women's colleges counter claims that women lag behind their male counterparts in subjects like math, science, and engineering.

Wesleyan announces new Master of Education program
Approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) this week, the Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Early Childhood education has been designed to meet the needs of teachers in the middle Georgia and surrounding area and will add a significant component to Wesleyan’s graduate programming. The College is already accepting applications and the first cohort class will begin June of 2010.
